CHRISTLIEB PRODUCTS ONLINE BUSINESS WILL CLOSE ON DECEMBER 31, 2024
Dear friends, colleagues, teachers and students,
Thank you so much for your overwhelming expressions of love and support. It is really an emotional time for me.
Christlieb Products will end its 86 years of supplying Cane, Profiled Reed Blanks, Mandrel Tips and Tools and the online catalog will finally close on December 31, 2024.
Now, at 83, I have become as venerable as the prototype machinery designed by my father before World War II, where he worked at Douglas Aircraft, learned the value of measurement and later applied the use of a dial indicator in reed making.
Thank you for helping me to provide some of Don Christlieb's research, teaching and love for the Bassoon and his massive contribution to the art of double reed making.
PLEASE NOTE:
I AM CURRENTLY OUT OF STAINLESS STEEL FORMING MANDREL TIPS and BRASS FORMING MANDREL TIPS. IT WILL BE DIFFICULT TO REPLACE DEPLETED STOCK BEFORE THE END OF THE DEADLINE. I HAVE ONLY ENOUGH DONATI/SILVACANE TO COMPLETE THE FLOOD OF ORDERS I HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED.
